Free Standing Humidor Instructions
Features
* Humidity set point controller.
* Continuous air circulation and venting.
* No moving parts/maintenance-free.
* Allows cigars to remain in manufacturers boxes which reduces
the mixing of tobacco flavors.
* Optional automatic water fill.
Setup
* Carefully unwrap all parts and remove any packaging material.
* Insert the shelves using the shelf pegs. Note the shelves can
either be inserted flat for maximum storage or on an angle for
display.
* For units without automatic water fill. Fill the pan with water
to about 1" below the top lip. Check that the float in the
back corner of the pan is free to float up and down with
decreasing water level.
* For units with automatic water fill. Connect the 1/4" tube
in the rear of the cabinet to any water line. Check that the
float in the back corner of the pan is free to float up and down
with changing water level.
* Plug in the power cord.
* Turn on the power switch.
* Set the desired humidity level on the HUMICON controller.
Lighting
No interior lighting is supplied. If lighting is desired it is
recommended that exterior spot lights be used mounted above the
display case and shining down. It is not recommended to install
lighting inside the case.
Operation
* Always turn off the power when adding water or removing the
water pan for cleaning. The on/off switch is located on the back
panel, lower right corner.
* When water is needed an indicator light inside the humidor will
light.
Recommendation
* The recommended humidity level is 75% RH but it maybe set to
whatever is individually preferred. Bear in mind humidity
fluctuations will occur depending on ambient conditions. If
fluctuations are noticed leave at set point. The unit will
balance itself.
* When storing a large number of boxes rotate their positions
about once a month.
Concerns
To check that the humidor is operating:
1. Push the level switch in the back right hand side of the pan
down. The low water indicator should illuminate. In units with
automatic water fill water will begin filling the pan.
Humidor will not operate:
1. Check that the power switch in the ON position. This is
indicated by a "1" on the switch. The OFF position is
indicated by a "0"
2. Check the fuses. The fuses may be accessed by removing the
plate between the power switch and the power connector. Be sure
the unit is unplugged before checking the fuses. Note: There are
two fuses side by side. Both must be in place and working for the
humidor to operate.
